二階の茶の間から見えるのは小さな小さな日本庭園。河津桜、シダレモミジ、スナゴケ、ヤマブキ、コムラサキシキブ、ヤブコウジ、ベニシダ、ツワブキ。控えめで儚く趣深いお花を静かに眺めながらゆっくりとしたひとときをお過ごしください。
What you can see from the ”Chanoma” on the second floor is a small Japanese garden. Please spend a relaxing moment quietly admiring the modest, ephemeral, and tasteful flowers such as Kawazu Cherry Blossom, Weeping Maple, Racomitiu canescens, Japanese Kerria, Japanese beautyberry,Leopard plant.

蜂の屋の設計・施工は、建築会社であるハニカムラボラトリーが手掛けております。日本には、左官職人や大工職人をはじめ、優れた技術を誇る多くの職人たちが存在しています。
日本の独特なこの職人技術を継承していきたい、という想いから、蜂の屋にも木組み家具やなぐり床、坊主障子など日本ならではの独特な建築技法をたくさん取り入れております。
建築の細部に目を向けてみると、さらに面白い発見に出会えるかもしれません。
The design and construction of Hachinoya are handled by the architecture firm, Honeycomb Laboratory. In Japan, there are many skilled artisans, including plasterers and carpenters, who take great pride in their exceptional craftsmanship.
Driven by the desire to preserve Japan’s unique craftsmanship, Hachinoya incorporates many distinctive Japanese architectural techniques, such as joinery furniture, naguri flooring, and bozu shoji, which are uniquely Japanese.
By paying attention to the details of the architecture, you may discover even more intriguing elements.
